Salaar box office collection Day 11: Prabhas’ film falls barely Rs 25 crore shy of Baahubali 1’s global gross, crossing Rs 625 crore.

In the local market, director Prashanth Neel’s Salaar surged toward the Rs 400 crore milestone on Monday as New Year’s celebrations continued. The movie, which starred Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, saw a drop in its box office receipts during the week, but it rebounded during the profitable New Year’s weekend.

Day 11 box office receipts for Salaar totaled Rs 15.5 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. As a result, the movie’s Indian net total collection was Rs 360.77 crore. With an occupancy rate of 48.75%, the Telugu version of the movie continues to bring in the most money overall. With 28.03% occupancy on Monday, the Hindi version of the movie is the greatest contributor after Telugu. Next in order of occupancy are 20.26% Tamil and 16.32% Malayalam.

According to Hombale Films, the movie has made Rs 625 crore worldwide thus far. It is only Rs 25 crore short of surpassing the original Baahubali’s Rs 650 crore global take-home amount. However, Salaar has already surpassed both Rajinikanth’s Jailer’s lifetime worldwide earnings of Rs 605 crore and Vijay’s Leo, which raked in Rs 605 crore worldwide earlier this year. Right now, Salaar is 2023’s fifth-biggest Indian film. However, it could be challenging to surpass Jawan’s earnings of nearly Rs 1100 crore. In its first week of release, Jawan brought in Rs 389.88 crore, while Salaar brought in Rs 308 crore. Only the Atlee actioner’s opening day record was broken by the Prabhas flick, which took in Rs 90.7 crore.

Meanwhile, star Prabhas thanks his fans for their support for Salaar. On Monday, he wished his admirers a Happy New Year via Instagram, writing, “While I decide Khansaar’s fate, you all sit back and have a fantastic New Year darlings!” Thank you for taking ownership of #SalaarCeaseFire and making it a huge success.” Since 2017, the actor had been unable to deliver a hit. Following Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, his next three films, Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush, all bombed at the box office.
