In Hinduism, Kalashtami is significant because it is an auspicious day on which devotees pay prayers to Lord Kaal Bhairav. On this auspicious day, devotees fast and visit the Bhairav temple in order to ask Lord Kaal Bhairav for blessings.
As a furious embodiment of Lord Shiva, Bhairav Baba is said to be able to grant relief from all forms of suffering when worshipped on this specific day. 5. The evening of Gaudhooli is the best time to offer prayers to Kaal Bhairav.
6. In the evening, devotees re-worship Kaal Bhairav by lighting a diya with mustard oil.
7. Serve Meetha Rott and halwa as a unique prasad made at home.
8. To get blessings, recite the Kaal Bhairav Ashtakam.
